Ryan from BUTTE GENERAL OHV &
MARINE is gonna be doing a grand opening at his store. He is gonna be having a DJ and free barbecue for registered riders. Along with live entertainment and a fun day of riding around multiple trails. Elephant butte is known for the biggest lake in New Mexico. Due to drought the lake has dropped to record low levels. Which has put the small town that relys heavily on tourists to enjoy the lake and boating and fishing. Due to that issue the town has took a heavy hit this summer. So after a lot of hard work put on by Ryan and meetings with town officials and the mayor and the sherrifs and multiple agencies we got the ok to plan a big event to bring people In to help the town. Of course all laws and rules apply. Hopefully we can get a good turnout and in the future we can continue to due events. The area has miles and miles of trails from rock to trail riding and good views. Never know might make elephant butte not only the biggest lake in New Mexico but the #1 ohv area in New Mexico. So everyone that comes we need your help by following all the rules and laws. And most importantly pick up all your trash and don’t litter and don’t tear up land that there is no trails. Don’t ruin this for the people that enjoy the passion and love that they have for sxs, UTV, etc. you will have to sign waiver for liability. And you will get a meal ticket and a lot of other cool stuff that is in the works. Also looking for company’s buisness that would be willing to do give aways maybe have the loudest audio competition and the best of show. Again we appreciate everyone coming out and making this event happen. And hope to see all different people from different states and surrounding areas. See everyone out there. LETS RIDE!!!

Work Together to Improve OHV Recreation in New Mexico
These listening sessions are not being organized by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). However, representatives from the BLM and other state and federal agencies have been invited to participate. Agency representatives will be available to discuss current travel management processes and explain how public input may help inform future planning and management decisions.
The sessions will also provide an opportunity to connect with national, state, and local agency representatives, fellow OHV enthusiasts, club members, and other concerned citizens. These conversations can help identify shared priorities and create opportunities for partnerships that support responsible OHV recreation and improve the management of public lands.
Your participation matters. The more input we receive from New Mexico's OHV community, the better equipped we will be to develop meaningful strategies and action plans that reflect the needs of riders and the future of OHV recreation throughout the state.
Please join us, share your ideas, and encourage your fellow club members, family, and riding partners to participate.
