Rio Puerco (Albuquerque) Resource Management Plan Revision
Last Updated: August 6, 2008
The Rio Puerco Field Office is very busy sorting and cataloguing the comments collected during the Scoping period. The next step will be to publish them in a Scoping Report. The report will be posted on the Rio Puerco BLM website. The office has indicated that they will CONTINUE to take scoping comments up until such time that they start to put together the range of alternatives (sometime this fall). These additional scoping comments, while not in the Scoping Report, will be part of the permanent project record and WILL BE used to help formulate alternatives. Please let the office know what routes you use and what activities you enjoy so that they can consider those routes and activities in their plan formulation.
The new RMP (Resource Management Plan policy manual) will eliminate all 'off-route' cross country travel. All future travel must be on designated roads, trails, and areas.
