04/21/2018 – 04/22/2018: NATC US National MotoTrials Championship Series Round
This National Championship Round of Observed Trials Motorcycle Riding is being hosted by the New Mexico Trials Association. The two-day event will be held at Haystack Mountain OHV area 22 miles north of Roswell, NM. This is a SPECTACULAR chance to watch US National Championship level riders compete here in New Mexico.

05/01/2018 – 05/05/2018: 2018 Burro Mountain ATV/UTV Jamboree
2018 Burro Mountain Trail Riders UTV/ATV Jamboree
The Burro Mountain Trail Riders and the Burro Mountain Homestead will once again host the Burro Mountain ATV/UTV Jamboree in the Burro Mountain area of the Gila National Fores near Silver City, NM.
The dates for this year are Tuesday, May 1st thru Saturday May 5th. Wednesday night is a BYOM cook-out at the Corral. For you Chili fans there is a Chili contest/Dinner Thursday night. Geocache event is set up from Tuesday thru Saturday with info. give at Event registration. Biscuits/Coffee on Wed, Fri, Sat, and full breakfast Thurs. Times to be announced. Trail rides are set up Tuesday thru Thursday. Friday will be a day of ATV/UTV games in the "BACK FORTY" and a trail ride after, ending with a hot dog plus cookout on the trail. Saturday will be the POKER RUN and dinner at the Corral with awards and raffle drawing. All meals are included in the entry fee except the BYOM cookout on Wednesday

The Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) will host Open Houses to give the public the opportunity to talk with Forest Service specialists about the Forest Plan under revision.
Monday, May 14 (9:00am-4:00pm) – Santa Fe National Forest, 11 Forest Lane, Santa Fe, NM 87508

There is no specific presentation or agenda for this Open Houses. It is instead an informal opportunity for the public to ask questions and for the Forest Service to share information about the revision of the Forest Plan, the comprehensive document that will guide management of all forest resources for the next 10 to 15 years.
This is a chance to share the progress made since the public meetings on Forest Plan Alternatives and Management Areas in March 2017. In previous Open Houses, table topics focused on resource areas, but this upcoming Open Houses will focus on planning topics including Alternatives, Geographic Areas, Management Areas, Monitoring, Wilderness, and Wild and Scenic Rivers. Forest Plan and District specialists will be available to answer questions on resource areas or Forest Planning more generally.

06/08/2018 – 06/10/2018: 2nd Annual 7 Trails of Gold OHV Trail Riding Event
We are pleased to announce that NMOHVA's 2nd Annual "7 Trails of Gold" event in Grants will be expanded to include 4WD vehicles (Jeeps, etc) and ATV's/UTV's as well as dual sport motorcycles. That's right! Our first multi-modal event!
Based on the success of last year's great dual sport motorcycle event, the NMOHVA Board wanted to be able to share the great roads/trails in the Grants area with ALL of our members. The town of Grants is very excited to host us and we know you will love the great routes available.

The Gila National Forest invites the public to a Forest Plan Community Open House!
The Gila National Forest will be soon releasing a preliminary draft plan for feedback as part of the Forest Plan Revision process. This preliminary draft plan reflects public inputt and describes the strategic direction for management of forest resources. The Gila National Forest highly encourages feedback on the preliminary draft plan and participation moving forward.
What is the purpose of these community open houses?
- Create understanding of preliminary plan direction with posters and Forest Service staff available for dialogue
- Discuss the preliminary draft plan direction with Forest Service staff and any further ideas for revising the Forest Plan
- Keep stakeholders informed and involved in the forest plan revision effort
- Strengthen links between the Forest and nearby residents, users, and interested parties
These meetings are Open House style so drop in anytime during the meeting.
